FLORA Slack Integration
Detailed Documentation on installing Flora into your Slack workspace
Installing Flora in a Workspace
Before you start
You need a Slack workspace and permission to add apps to it. If your workspace requires admin approval for new apps, your Slack admin may need to approve the request.
A Bloomfilter account is required for workspace installation and the user must be an organization admin inside Bloomfilter
Set up takes less than a minute.

Step 1 — Start the install from Bloomfilter
Log in to your Bloomfilter account.
Navigate to integrations inside of the Flora Agent Module
If you are an Organization admin and Slack has not installed you will see a page like this with a button to connect to Slack

Step 2 — Authorize Flora in Slack
After clicking the connect button, you'll be redirected to Slack's authorization screen.
Confirm you're installing to the correct workspace using the dropdown in the top-right.
Review the permissions Flora is requesting, then click Allow.

Step 3 — Confirm the connection
After authorizing, you'll be redirected back to Bloomfilter with a confirmation that Slack is connected. Your account is now linked automatically — no manual mapping required.
Please click the refresh button after returning from the popup if you do not see any changes

Step 4 — Start using Flora
Either use Flora inside of a channel or communicate with Flora directly via the App
Flora in a Channel
To use Flora in a channel, invite it:
Open the channel where you want to use Flora.
Type /invite @Flora and send.
Type @Flora then your message to ask Flora a question
Flora will respond in a thread
Ask Flora followups in the same thread by starting your message with @Flora

DM Flora
To use Flora in a DM setting, open the Flora app under Apps in your Slack sidebar and use the Messages tab.

Authorizing your Slack User with Flora
In order to use Slack as a delivery method for our Automations module, each user must authenticate with Slack to send notifications to their channels.
Slack must be installed into the workspace for the user's organization already by an admin following the previous section.
Troubleshooting
"Flora isn't responding in my channel" — Make sure Flora has been invited with /invite @Flora.
"I can't install the app" — Your Slack workspace may require admin approval. Ask your Slack admin to approve the request, or contact them to install on your behalf.
"Some features aren't available" — Confirm your Slack account is connected to Bloomfilter under Settings → Integrations → Slack.
Uninstalling Flora
To remove Flora from your workspace:
In Slack, go to Settings & administration → Manage apps.
Search for Flora, open it, and click Remove App.
This revokes Flora's access and deletes the associated tokens.
Note: you must be an Organization Admin inside Bloomfilter to uninstall Flora from your Slack workspace
