Automation

Automation Module

The Automation module provides extensive flexibility for creating automated workflows. This module uses an embedded tool to create triggers and integrate with various applications, enabling sophisticated workflow automation without coding.

Business Value:

Automation eliminates manual, repetitive work by enabling teams to build no-code workflows that connect Bloomfilter to tools like Slack, email, and Jira; triggering real-time notifications and actions on key events like missed targets or sprint completions, so teams can respond faster, stay aligned and focus on high-impact work.

Workflow Management

Flow Library

A centralized management interface for all automation workflows within the organization. Users can create new workflows using the "New Flow" button or select existing flows from the flow library. The visual workflow builder provides access to four integration categories through tabs: Explore, AI & Agents, Apps, and Utility. Workflows can be tested using the "Test Trigger" button and published using the "Publish" button. Flow execution history is accessible via the "Runs" button.

Key Capabilities:

  • View all automation flows in a structured table format

  • Organize flows using folder structure (All flows, Uncategorized)

  • Filter flows by name, status, and connection type

  • Monitor flow status with visual indicators (enabled/disabled toggle)

  • Track last modification dates for all workflows

  • View step count for each automation

  • Quick access to flow execution history via "Runs" button

  • Create new flows with "New Flow" button

  • Active status indicator showing real-time flow state

  • Connection badges showing integrated applications

Workflow Canvas

Key Capabilities:

  • Visual drag-and-drop flow designer

  • Start with trigger selection (Bloomfilter events or external triggers)

  • Add multiple steps in sequential or branching logic

  • Configure each step with detailed settings panel

  • Real-time connection status monitoring

  • Test workflows with sample data or mock data

  • View execution runs and history

  • Enable/disable flows with toggle switch

  • Publish flows for production use

Workflow Components:

  • Triggers: Bloomfilter event-based triggers or external application events

  • Actions: Integration-specific actions (Send Slack message, Create spreadsheet, etc.)

  • Logic: Conditional routing and branching

  • Loops: Repetitive operations

  • Human Input: Manual intervention points

  • End: Workflow completion node

Visual Workflow Builder

A comprehensive interface for designing automation workflows with an extensive integration library organized into four main categories.

Explore Tab

Access to popular pre-built integrations and workflow patterns.
